Jul. 26, 2008 | 10:21 AM KillBillvolume2 responds:

Ya know, I model my rap career after Kevin Federline, i really like looking like a complete douche white trash dude. lmfao
mr. carter was good, but THE BEAT FROM A MILLI KILLED WAYNES ALBUM lmao
Papi Jankee and Daddy Culo should be best artists of the year, hands down. I hear their new mixtape hit the streets of cuba, puerto rico, and scotland very hard. Yes, scotland. haha

Jul. 26, 2008 | 10:43 AM mseemercury says:

that n***a papi didnt say shit about scotland, fucker but he did say they sold a million in antarctica. hahaha

Jul. 26, 2008 | 2:29 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

yeah, see he started selling to penguins and shit, made a killing. but daddy culo sold more in mudafuckin finland. Them finnish cats are crazy for daddy culo

I personally think Weezy doesn't deserve 1% of the money and fame he gets...his flow is whack as fuck, and his only decent stuff is written by someone else. You wanna hear something HE wrote? listen to "I feel like dying" - worst rap song ever made. EVER.

Jul. 27, 2008 | 2:04 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

Weezy's okay, when others write for him, he's great. I feel like dying is a horrible...horrible song. The beat's okay though.
Weezy's Ghostwriter is a good ass writer though. Nice metaphors and whatnot

Jul. 27, 2008 | 1:18 AM lucid08 says:

OK I take that back, some people on NG have made much worse -cough-

Jul. 27, 2008 | 2:04 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

True, very true.
cuz I FEEL LIKE DYINNNGG lmfao

Jul. 27, 2008 | 2:27 PM InGenius says:

It's been like, 9 months, 10 days, 7 hours, 3 minutes, 22 seconds, four doughnuts, a crescent roll, two all-day marathons of RedvsBlue...wait, sorry, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, bad lyrics from Wayne and some NG *ahem* artists. I don't think Wayne's lyrics are particularly that good, and when he makes his own beats....I get physically ill. Like, go to the hospital and get some penicillin ill. Seriously. Have you heard his mixtape tracks with his own beats? It's like a convention full of NG AP noobs bashed randomly on a single midi keyboard, chopped it up and sequenced it on Magix Music Creator, then fed it all through Audacity and randomly applied effects...then threw all of that into a gater and threw a stock 808 beat on top with a pitiful excuse for a 4 note bass rhythm on top of all that. And then he raps about lollipops over it.

As for Nas' new album, haven't heard it yet. I was a bit disappointed with Nas' comments about the south killin' hip hop, haven't really paid much attention to him since. I disagree with generalizations like that. I like to think that it isn't the south, it's all Mike Jones and Mims fault. Mostly Mike Jones. Like, 99% Mike Jones. You know what, I'll just come right out and say it: fuck Mike Jones. Ok, now that I got that off my chest...who, Mike Jones, who, Mike Jones! Fuck, Mike Jones, who, Mike Jones! 84 what I'm tippin' on, wood grain wheel what I'm grippin' on, grippin' on, grippin' on! I said, what? 84 what I'm tippin' on, wood grain wheel what I'm grippin' on, lean in my cup what I'm sippin' on, Fuck Mike Jones!

There, I just wrote out an entire 16 bars of Mike Jones lyrics. I take it back. Wayne does have good lyrics...when you compare them to Mike Jones.

Jul. 27, 2008 | 2:35 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

Mike Jones had one good song. Still Tippin'
But that was all because of SLIM THUGGAAAAAAAAAA lol
and yeah man, I was disappointed too. But a lotta bullshit comes outta the south. Fuck, a lotta bullshit comes out the north too. It's annoying. 50 Cent, garbage. MIMS, garbage. Yayo, garbage.
but we got garbage too. and we also got real lyricists. so its wrong that he said that

Jul. 28, 2008 | 12:09 AM lucid08 says:

I think when Nas said that, he was generalizing the whole hype over the crunk-type shit that's going around. But yeah that's a bad generalization - TI is one of the very few DECENT rappers in the mainstream right now, and he's reppin the south :P Again, it's basically the majority of mainstream rappers that be killin hip-hop...regardless of whether they're from the south, east coast, west coast, whatever. I can name about 200 underground rappers that would top almost anyone you hear on the radio, including probably 10 people on NG alone.

Jul. 28, 2008 | 8:46 AM KillBillvolume2 responds:

There are some good Southern Rappers in the game right now
1. T.I.
2. Bun B.
3. David Banner
4. Pimp C's Unreleased material (R,I.P. The original Pimp, You will be missed)
5. Z-RO
6. Trae
7. Lil Keke Tha Don
8. Rich Boy is underrated

Jul. 28, 2008 | 4:20 AM mseemercury says:

lucid pls list does 10 people also chk this guy out named k'naan hes fucking dope and marco polo

Jul. 28, 2008 | 8:42 AM KillBillvolume2 responds:

Papi Jankee is numero uno

Jul. 28, 2008 | 2:04 PM InGenius says:

Lucky Luciano, Keke, Trae, Z-Ro, Crunchy Black and Lord Infamous (the Lost 3-6 Mafia members) Yukmouth, Scarface forever and ever, all been underground since underground began and all underrated. Face had big albums but he's always havin' to break out every 3 or 4 years again just to get recognition, he gets sat on by A&R from the bigs. And from now til the end of time, Pimp C and Bun B will round out my top 10 underground artists who shoulda, woulda, coulda been and will BE (at least Bun) major league stars. But if you ever get a chance, seriously, Lucky Luciano called out Lil Flip in '05 or '06, took away his Freestyle King crown with one of those 100 bar freestyles on a swift (like 120 BPM+) beat while he was sippin' a tall glass of lean at a concert/barbecue in Houston on a damned Dope House records DVD for Baby Bash's promotion. That kid should be on the airwaves cuz he can do intelligent wordplay in freestyles using multisyllable words that the fans toss at him as he freestyles, crazy shit.

Jul. 28, 2008 | 3:27 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

damn, i've heard of that dude. I hear he's a monster. And i don't like Crunchy Black. He's garbage yo. I mean he's cool, but lyrically he's not good. like at all lol

Jul. 28, 2008 | 4:28 PM InGenius says:

I'm callin' our battle. You got more DL's and more listens and your track is only .06 pts behind in votes, you took the first round. We'll have a second sometime in the future. I enjoyed battlin' in your style, next time you're gonna have to match me in mine. It'll be sample chopping, of course, with some smooth, mellow piano and strings at a slower pace than you are used to, but still wanna come with the hardness. I've got some samples I'm looking over right now, as we speak, in fact, but we're both busy so we'll get together on vent sometime and hammer out the Round 2 for later. Good battle, appreciate it.

Peace

Jul. 28, 2008 | 6:52 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

Yes, great battle. And that will be interesting. I'll be looking for samples ^_^

Jul. 28, 2008 | 4:30 PM InGenius says:

And...Crunchy is awesome. You heard his 3-6 shit, no doubt, but his solos! The guy was bein' stifled for real. Now, I will freely admit that he's got some crunk/club simple rhymes, some Lil Jon OOOKKKAAAYYYYY! shit, yes, but he's got some crazy stuff too with that crazy voice of his. But it might not be everyone's cup of tea...and yes, Lucky Luciano is a beast.

Jul. 28, 2008 | 6:53 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

I'll look up his solo shit, but i heard that most of it was already used on 3-6 albums. haha but maybe thats just a myth or something. But yeah ill peep both.

Jul. 28, 2008 | 7:04 PM InGenius says:

He's been outta 3-6 since early 07, I believe, maybe sooner. In fact, definitely sooner because he was bitching about not getting paid for his lyrics in "High", and he dropped a mixtape in early to mid 07.

Jul. 28, 2008 | 7:09 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

Worrrd lol i heard about that. I also heard that gangsta boo had the same problem. or something along those lines. and now its only 2 people. but fuck it they should let project pat, lil wyte, and frayser boy in on the group, it would boost their sales by a lot i think.

Jul. 28, 2008 | 10:13 PM lucid08 says:

to KillBill: Yeah, you're right, rich boy is underrated...I got a few of his songs on meh Ipodz.

And to Merc: as an example, I'd rather listen to Silly Billy here - or even YOU - than half the rappers I see when I flip by MTV jams and shit. Like seriously they don't deserve to be making that money...Lil Bow Wow and fuckin Soulja Boy, "Macro Polo" GAY! (Please tell me you weren't refering to this song) I don't get it: Lyrics are about the same typical shit, flow isn't anything great, rhymes are elementary; why is this shit popular? Why are these guys getting more exposure, fame, and money than the people with 20X more talent?

Jul. 28, 2008 | 10:30 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

It's catchy. Which is retarded, but sadly true. They have catchy shit that big producers think up and tell them to record. It's a fucked up system. Soulja Boy was because of his cult following. My question is, why did Soulja Boy seem so much cooler BEFORE he was signed? lol I just noticed that.

Jul. 29, 2008 | 11:36 AM InGenius says:

Same reason Mike Jones seemed great before signing: he had hype and everyone loves to see the underdog get some money out of the game. The problem was that's all they lived on, hype, not talent, not future value and goals, just the hype of now. You gotta improve and keep steppin' up, but people like that never do. They think their next hit has to be an exact copy of their last hit, with some minor word changes and a new dance. Or, if you're Mike Jones, no need for the word changes OR the dance...just say "Who?! Mike Jones!!" sixteen times and call it a 16 bar freestyle.

Jul. 29, 2008 | 1:19 PM KillBillvolume2 responds:

lmfao, i actually have a freestyle of his, and he said his name like 12 times i think

Jul. 29, 2008 | 2:51 PM mseemercury says:

nah lucid marco polo is an artist whos fucking dope fuck soulja boi

CHINGO BLING! I knew he'd be in that vid...guy can't rap for shit, but his shows are fuckin' awesome and he's real appreciative of fans. I saw him at a Dope House show with Grimm, Rasheed, Bash and some no-names back in '04 or '05. Lucky hadn't been signed at that time, I don't think. If he was, he wasn't at that show. But Chingo was hilarious. Rappin' about tamales and hos, can't lose at that game.

The newest Chingo song I could find...he's gotten better, but still more about bein' funny than bein' serious even in a serious song about immigrants.
